Phaistos was the second most important city in Crete during the second millennium BC, after Knossos, and is now an important archaeological site.
It is located in the south-central Crete, in the Mesara plain and is one of the most important archaeological sites in Crete. You can also see the Phaistos Disc where it is an archaeological find from the Minoan town of Phaistos in southern Crete and probably dates back to the 17th century BC.
It is one of the most famous mysteries of archeology since the purpose of its construction and the meaning of what is written on it remains unknown.
